SNMP and ARP

Not applicable

Is there a way to pull the ARP table from a firewall using SNMP?

We have tools that utilize the ipNetToMediaPhysAddress (OID repository - {iso(1) identified-organization(3) dod(6) internet(1) mgmt(2) mib-2(1) ip(4) ipNetT...) on other network devices, but it doesn't seem to be present in the Palo Alto firewalls.

Thanks.

I'm needing to monitor ARP table size as well...any new info on this? Is there any way to configure an alarm or email?

Thanks,

Mike

Here is a similar discussion thread: Re: reading ARP table  ( it's might be possible through API)

Thanks

Hi HKP,

There are OIB for ARP, so you should be able to configure Threshold in SNMP server.

Which OIB would that be? Did you find them?

I didn't see any....

What software are you using to monitor the device?

Im running Cacti and created a perl script which monitors our PaloAlto's using the XML API.

The hosttemplate and the script can be found over here.
