I'm looking over the setup guide to get the Palo Alto to send data to Splunk for further analysis. See:

Anyone have a better guideline for user permissions? The guide mentions two XML API type permissions, but doesn't give real-world/helpful tips on the non-adminstrator permission level. This example doesn't show the Web-UI locked down and only shows the single XML level permission (USER-ID), but mentions the second one (CONFIGURATION). It also doesn't mention if the pantag, panuserupdate or pancontentpack commands need to be configured or if they are really optional.
