USing PAN in a VoIP Environment (Call Center)

L1 Bithead

Hello,

we just deployed our PA2020 in a VoIP environment and we are having some issues as below :

we are experiencing some audio problem on one segment , When we call a remote extention, we cannot hear our correspondent while they can hear us clearly.

We noticed that for SIP phones, we are experiencing the same issue. we have checked for any rules or possible routing problems but all seems to be fine.

any ideas where to dig ?

regards,

JM

Can you please open a support case for this issue and provide information on your security policy rule and traffic logs.

It was a routing error from our ISP, things have been dealt with and fully working.

While using a singluar PAN in the VoIP / IPT environment has been good so far, now moving to a full Failover environment is challenging.

We are actually configureing two 2020 in HA pair , and both are connected to the core L3 Switch (2 stacked switch). We want to make sure that in any scenarios the voice traffic is not affected. our actual concerns is to be able to make sure that if there is a breakdown at the core switch level (any one of the ports ) the traffic is immediately redirected to the other PA without any disruption in the voice traffic
