Nah they would never fork out the money for professional services that is what I am suppose to be. I did the upgrade from 6 to 7 but i had plenty of disk space at the time. I always have a outage window for the upgrade and a script/upgrade document to follow so I can keep a cool head, I guess you could say I am in the research phase right now finding out how to do it and how to free some space and how to roll it back should it go badly. I also usually start with my secondary first so I can break it and test the fix on it should it go south. So even if you remove the previous install from devic tab\software it is still available on the other partition? So I assume dirty option is my only choice since I have to remove all 7 versions, once I have the base 8 on it to allow enough room to upgrade to the 8.1.3 version
