User ID Agent: Connecting (The stub received bad data)

L4 Transporter

Hi Community,

I have a problem with a User ID Agent issue.

I'm sure it's not related to the Palo Alto software - more a microsoft thing, but maybe one of you guys experienced the same:

User-ID Agent-Server: Windows Server 2012R2

User ID Agent 8.1.8-3

We configured the User ID Agent in the morning and during the day, the Microsoft team did a domain upgrade from functional level 2008 to functional level 2019

When the domain was on functional level 2008 we received ip user mappings, after the upgrade, we got the message "stub received bad data" when connecting to the AD servers.

Is this an issue with Server 2019?

The agent itself is installed on Server 2012 but the target DCs are on 2019.

Looking forward to your feedbacks

Best Regards

Chacko

Hi @Chacko42 ,

This might help you :

which-servers-can-the-user-id-agent-monitor ?

It looks like the agent can't monitor 2019 servers yet.

Cheers !
