XML API on dedicated User-ID Agent - The same as on the firewalls?

L7 Applicator

Hi everyone

Does anyone have some experience with the XML API on the User-ID Agent?
What I want to do is to use these Agents as central points where the user-to-ip(-to-port) mapping happens. So all the firewalls should be able to connect to these agents and get all the required user information.

But until now I have the problem that this does not really work. Actually I already have problems at the beginning. I already hat a script that registers the users and the corresponting ports directly to the firewall and there it was working as it should. Then I changed the destination to the User-ID agent and nothing happens. The only thing I see is my client in the list of the servers in the user ID agent, but the registration does not work at all.

Do I have to do this in another way or is there another xml structure to use, and also do I have to use an api key there and if yes could this one be generated on the firewall?

I hope someone has already tried this and could help me getting this to work.

Thanks in advance,

Remo
