userid-agent vs pan-agent - what's the difference?

L4 Transporter

Hi.

In trying to diagnose a recent issue with identifying users on my SSL VPN, I deleted the user identification configuration and re-adde it.

I noticed that there are now two types in a drop down box when adding a userid agent - userid-agent and pan-agent.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is? And which one should I be using to talk to the AD user agent I have running to make sure it's most effective?

Thanks.

Hi,

The userid-agent is used with LDAP and the pan-agent is used with AD.  If using AD, you'd still want to use the pan-agent.

Thank you! Good thing I asked, I had it wrong when I put my agent back in. 🙂

Cheers
