Resolution


Panorama allows firewall administrators to push (deploy) software or update packaged from a central location.

This document offers details on how to use Panorama to deploy the following packages

  • Licenses
  • Client Software
  • Dynamic Updates
  • PAN-OS Software

 

To deploy licenses:

  • Panorama > Device Deployment > Licenses

To deploy Software:

  • Panorama > Device Deployment > Software

To deploy Content:

  • Panorama > Device Deployment > Dynamic Update

To deploy Client software:

  • Panorama > Device Deployment > GlobalProtect Client

Deployment can also be done via the Command Line Interface (CLI). Here are some examples:

  • License deployment: request batch license refresh devices <Serial Number>
  • Software deployment: request batch software upload-install file PanOS_200-4.1.6 devices 0006C100492
  • Dynamic Update package deployment: request batch content upload-install file panupv2-all-contents-314-1424 devices 0006C100492
  • Global Protect Client deployment: request batch global-protect-client <options>
