On the PA-7050 platform there is a session distribution algorithm that decides how sessions are installed on dataplanes.
Use this command to set the algorithm.
> set session distribution-policy
> fixed select a fixed DP
> hash select DP by address hash
> ingress-slot select DP on ingressing slot
> random select random available DP
> round-robin select DP by round robin between active DPs
> session-load select DP based on session load
Note: Ingress-slot is the default option.
Note: This setting will persist even after system reboot ( Set from Operational mode)
Use the following command to see session distribution details. The Active column indicates the Active sessions on the device.
> show session distribution statistics

s7dp1 2 0 0
The sum of values under the Active column should match the total active session on the platform.
> show session info

Run the below command to see the setting on the device .
> show zone-protection
