Issue

The Terminal Server Agent logs contain a socket creation error: "[Error 378]: Socket creation error: 10047!!!!".

Cause

These errors are related to port allocation because the port was used by another application before the TS Agent was started and could not take over control of that port. Also, the TS Agent was restarted and another process/application took over this port.

Resolution

In order to prevent these port allocation errors, the user should configure the port allocation range starting with 20000 since there are very few programs that are using these high ports and the chance of having a port allocation error is very small.
