Update the Local admin" User Password Using Panorama Templates"

Overview

Use templates in Panorama to update the local admin account password on devices. Follow the steps below.

1. From Panorama, create the template.
2. Assign the device to the template.
3. Under Devices > Administrators, click add to create the admin user and the new password that will be pushed to devices.
   
4. Commit the changes to Panorama.
5. Push the changes to the template.
   Note: Make sure that the option "Force Template Values" is selected because the current admin user and password already exists on the device. This option will enable Panorama to overwrite the existing admin password. Use caution when pushing template changes to the device with the option "Force Template Values" enabled. Depending on other configured template values in the template, this may overwrite other existing configuration elements on the device. Users can create a separate template to change just the admin password and assign it to the device when changing the admin password.
