Sidewinder Host Import

Having issues after importing a sidewinder 7.1 config.  Address objects of type "IP Netmask" that are /32s are created in the gui but not able to be changed, ie: add a prefix.  Other address objects of type "IP Netmask" that are not /32s you are able to change.

Sidewinder Config Snipit

Re: Sidewinder Host Import

hi,

How the name of the objects its an ip address the tool is assuming that the ip address will not be added as an Address object to the address store. So the tool is keeping the ip address (there is why you cannot modify it) and then the ip will be used in the final XML file as IP address. It will not be translated as an address to your base config. with this we were reducing the number of address in the final config, this is by now a "by design" function and we are considering changing it for new version 4.0.

Regards

workaround: you can change the name of the address to add the _32 or h_x.x.x.x then the tool will convert as address but could be painful do that., you can replace ip address at the end of the migration as well from the final XML file ...
