user for web-gui

L2 Linker

Hello,

at first, thank you for that great tool, especially for the gui. I will change the password for admin. How can I do this? With htpasswd? And, is it possible to add users with different privilegs?

Thank you for your efforts.

Thanks, I am glad you like MineMeld.

To change the admin password you can follow the instructions in the following article:

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/MineMeld-Articles/Changing-UI-admin-password/ta-p/72044

You can also add new users by specifying a new username in step 2 instead of admin.

MineMeld WebUI does not support Role Based access control yet, but it is in roadmap. Are you thinking of Read-Write versus Read-Only or something more granular ?

Hello Imori,

thank you for answer. Befor my next question I will do a search. 😉

Yes, I think it is not bad to have users with Read-Write-  or Read-Only-access, somebody can configure, somebody only view. But you have this already on the roadmap. So I will waiting. 🙂
