Step 5: Enroll in EDU-110 Firewall Essentials

  • Click the name of the course from the search results.

  • Click Request to add the course to your learning profile.

  • Click Open Curriculum to launch the course.

  • Click Activate then the “Launch” button to launch into each module, beginning with the Firewall 8.0 Essentials: Course Introduction.

  • As you finish viewing each module of EDU-110 in the Learning Center, you can perform the associated hands-on lab activities within this remote environment, according to the instructions provided in the “Hands-On Lab Guide.” The Hands-On Lab Guide will walk you through several hands-on activities within a real firewall designed to reinforce the concepts you learn in each module.

  • To fulfill the steps of the Lab Guide, you will need to access the remote lab environment (instructions below).


The Remote Lab Environment

As a gift to you, the Palo Alto Networks affiliate NetDevGroup (NDG) is providing six months of access to an online lab. In this environment, you can continue to practice and hone your firewall administration skills.


Lab Enrollment

  • Enroll and Create an account with NDG
  • Enter your access code
    • NOTE: This code will need to be assigned to you. Email one of the instructors listed at the bottom of this page to request a lab code.
    • Access codes are for one-time use, not case sensitive, 8 characters long, and consist of letters and numbers.
    • You may access the labs for 180 days.
  • If you need help with the enrollment process a guide is available.


Accessing Labs

  • Labs can be accessed at

  • You may be asked to confirm your email address.
  • Click Launch Labs to access the lab interface.
  • Reserve future lab time.
  • At the reservation time, follow the steps in the provided lab guide to practice the skills presented in the EDU-110 course.
