The Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) certifies that individuals have demonstrated knowledge of key features of Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls and can effectively deploy the firewalls to securely enable traffic based on who (users), what (applications), when (time-based policy), and how (content). Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls that are configured correctly enable administrators to prevent successful cyberattacks.   The Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) exam is a formal certification exam that can be attempted by anyone who has completed either the Next-Generation Firewall 10.0 Digital Learning courses, or attended and completed the Firewall Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-210) instructor-led course. The PCNSA exam is based on the current PAN-OS® release.   Study for Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) exam   To prepare for the PCNSA certification, follow these steps: Complete the Firewall Essentials training listed above Take and pass the Firewall Essentials: Configuration and Management assessment Review the PCNSA Blueprint and PCNSA Study Guide Note: Most courses have an assessment OR exam, not both  After completing the PCNSA exam, proceed to Step 7.  

  The Introduction to Cybersecurity Digital Learning course introduces the fundamentals of cybersecurity, and is the first of four courses in the Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Entry-level Technician (PCCET) certification. The PCCET certification validates the knowledge required for entry-level network security positions, whose technical requirements change as quickly as the technology upon which they are based.   To access the PCCET Certification page, log into Beacon and under Certifications, select PALO ALTO NETWORKS CERTIFIED CYBERSECURITY ENTRY-LEVEL TECHNICIAN.   The Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Enter-level Technician (PCCET) page lists three PCCET Study Resources, and four Available (Digital Learning) Courses To prepare for the PCCET certification, follow these steps: Consult thePalo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Enter-level Technician Blueprint and Study Guide Complete the Introduction to Cybersecurity, Fundamentals of Network Security, Fundamentals of Cloud Security, and Fundamentals of SOC (Security Operations Center) Digital Learning courses Pass each course exit assessment Achieve a passing score on the Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Entry-level Technician Exam Practice Questions     When ready to take the Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Entry-level Technician exam, go to Pearson VUE and follow the instructions to enroll and register. (All Palo Alto Networks certification exams are administered by Pearson VUE) After completion of these test study activities, proceed to Step 4.  

Login to Beacon Palo Alto Networks Beacon   Scroll down to Certifications ->PALO ALTO NETWORKS CERTIFIED CYBERSECURITY ENTRY-LEVEL TECHNICIAN Scroll to Available Courses and select Introduction to Cybersecurity You can also use the search field in the top right corner to search for the “Introduction to Cybersecurity” course   Click the course name “Introduction to Cybersecurity” to access the course Palo Alto Networks Beacon  Click “Launch” to launch the course   After completion of the Introduction to Cybersecurity course, enroll in and complete the Course Assessment   Step 3 details how to prepare for the Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Entry-level Technician (PCCET) certification, which includes three other Fundamentals courses. To access these additional courses follow the same steps for each as listed above After completion of the course assessment(s), proceed to Step 3        

Login to Beacon. Enter “Next-Generation Firewall 10.0” in the search field in the top right corner to find the course collection     Select the “Next-Generation Firewall 10.0” option from the search results (The course collection can also be accessed by selecting "Product Training -> STRATA -> DIGITAL LEARNING -> Next-Generation Firewall 10.0" from the Beacon homepage)  Choose a course from the provided course collection to get started. Complete the following courses: Next-Generation Firewall Setup and Management Connection Zone Security, Security and NAT Policies Protection Profiles for Zones and DOS Attacks App-ID to Block Threats Wildfire Versus Malware Security Profiles and Security Policies Device-ID to Block Threats Security Policies and User-ID for Increased Security Threat and Traffic Information GlobalProtect Remote User Security Reliability and High Availability Virtual Private Networks   Begin each course by clicking on the first module. Proceed to the next modules accordingly.      After completion of each module, enroll in and complete the Course Assessment.     Follow the same steps as before to launch and complete the following modules.   After completion of the course assessment, proceed to Step 6.

  Create a Palo Alto Networks Beacon account to access the Palo Alto Networks Digital Learning courses. Open a browser and navigate to https://beacon.paloaltonetworks.com/student/catalog Click “Log In” to register     Click “please register for one here” to create an SSO login   Follow the prompts to create your account by entering your preferred email address and satisfying the captcha.   Fill in the form with your desired account information.       Once completed, an email will be sent to you. Click the link in the email to activate your account. Login using the email and password you used to create the account. Create unique security questions and answers to help secure your account. Once logged in, you will see your name on the home screen above a search box.   After completion of these activities, proceed to Step 2.

This step is designed to teach you the basic fundamentals of networking. This step is optional and can be skipped if you have prior training or experience from the following:   CompTIA Network+ Cisco ICND  Equivalent networking training includes: Networking Models (OSI vs. TCP/IP) Networking Topologies and Standards Layer 2 Networking Layer 3 Networking Routing Layer 4 Protocols and Ports If you haven't taken one of the courses above and wish to self-study, below are some self-paced videos you can watch to help you understand fundamental networking topics.                             After completion of these videos, proceed to Step 5.  

Login to Beacon.   Use the search field in the top right corner to search for the “Firewall Essentials: Configuration and Management,” “Panorama: Managing Firewalls at Scale,” or “Firewall: Troubleshooting” courses.     Click the name of the specific course from the search results.     Once the course name is accessed, click “Click Here” or “Get Started” to learn more about Palo Alto Networks Authorized Training Partners (ATPs) and how you can access our Instructor-Led Training.      Click “Launch” to launch the module. There are three recommended courses. Follow the same steps as before to take the remainder courses.  After completion of the course assessment, proceed to Step 8.
