AIops not showing posture even though config is being sent.

L1 Bithead

I do see all my firewalls in AIops and have some data on them.

In the posture BPA I see "The Best Practices report is not available for this device because it is not sending configuration file via telemetry"

In telemetry for all of my firewalls I see "Status Success" for all types of telemetry data. Threat, Health and performance and Product usage.

Some data seems to get into AIops but other is not.

Hello @Helgims,

I saw your post and have a few recommendations for you.

Please run the below commands in the firewall cli and check that the firewall is sending the data via telemetry and also attach the screenshot of the outputs.

1. request device-telemetry collect-now
2. show device-telemetry settings
3. show device-telemetry details
4. show device-telemetry stats all

Hi @lr ,

I have attached the output as requested.
To me it looks like everything is working, success on all telemetry types and sending data to Germany.

I, too, am having the same problem.  When you click on the "Explore" apps, in the hub, do you get the following message like I do?

"

There is a problem with your entitlements, please contact hub team"

I'm still having the same problem.   The *only* device that's sending telemtry is my Panorama server.  My 4 different firewalls are not sending telemetry data.

The Best Practices report is not available for this device because it is not sending configuration file via telemetry

Same Issue here.

Any advice to fix this?

The required "Product Usage Metrics" option in telemetry settings is selected.

Support was able to reply to my question.

The 10.2 PAN-OS version I am using does not work in aiops, they reccomended I upgrade to 11.0. I have not done that yet.

Thanks Helgims

Since 11.0.0 is the first release from 11.0 i would not try to use it for productive environment.

So unfortunate this would not be an option.

What version of 10.2 you are using?

We use 10.2.2 and hopefully this is fixed in 10.2.3-h2

By upgrading my firewalls and Panorama to 10.2.3-h2, the problem was resolved.  The issue, according to the release notes of that version, fixes an issue where the region doesn't properly get configured.

Once I upgraded them to this version, and waited a few hours (AIOps is far from instant), then I get all the BPAs and other config related telemetry I need!

Hi All,

I'm also facing the same issue.

So, need to know whether AIOps work on PA-3020 - version 9.1.15 ?

Regards,

Vikram Murudkar.

Hi,

AIOps doesn't work on 9.1

10.2 is completely fine with AIOps and you don't have to go to 11.
