Great question Rahmin! You can leverage our product technology resource pages to learn about Palo Alto Networks products. On these dedicated product pages, you can find videos, articles, blogs, and discussions related to the technology. In terms of training, we have an Education Services page where you can find digital learning materials, instructor-led training, certifications, and more related to our products! I’ve included some links below.

Hi @emetcalf ,

Yes, BPA can now generate a prisma access BPA! A Prisma Access BPA report is generated using a Panorama TSF.  One requirement is to have the Cloud Services Plugin for Prisma Access configured.  Without this plugin you can only run a regular BPA report.

Great question. In order to be notified about a new post in an area that interests you, you have to subscribe to that area.

Here's how to subscribe to a piece of content:

  • Go to the area or item you want to subscribe to. You can subscribe to an area, discussion, blog or article.
  • In the upper right part of the window, there may be a Subscribe button.
Click Subscribe for any updates or comments that are added to this item.
    jdelio_0-1624546367389.png

  • If you do not see the subscribe button, you can also subscribe to an area like Blogs, Articles or Discussions by clicking the Options > Subscribe option in the upper right part of the window.

3: Is there a feature available within the community that you don't think is used as much as it should be, or that members maybe don't realize exists?

One feature that does not seem to get enough use would happen to be the “Accept as Solution” option.

An Accepted Solution is a way for you to choose the answer that best answers a question that you've posted. When you accept a solution, both the question and the solution get special icons and links that take you directly from the question to the answer.

An Accepted Solutions icon also appears on boards and in search results so you can see which messages have solutions.

You can mark a solution as accepted only for questions that you've posted (you started the thread). LIVEcommunity moderators can also mark one of the replies to a message as an accepted solution.

How do I mark a message as a solution?

  • To mark a message as a solution, click Accept as Solution on the reply.
    jdelio_0-1624546605911.png
  • If you change your mind or if another reply provides an even better answer, you can revoke the first selection and accept the second reply.
  • To revoke an accepted solution, click Options > Unmark as Accepted Solution.
  • You can choose another solution or leave the question unsolved.

This is a great question. The new Messaging option is NEW to the LIVEcommunity, but the problem is that both the sender and receiver need to enable this option in order to send messages, as it is NOT enabled by default.

To enable this option, please go into your UserID > My Settings

And inside there go to Preferences > Private Messenger

And then be sure to enable “Turn on private messages” and then Save.

Thanks for the question, my answer is going to be brief, as there are many ways to search through the LIVEcommunity, but I will say that start with the top search window, which allows you to search and see search results through the entire LIVEcommunity, TechDocs and KB.

If you are in a specific area, you can search just that area for information using the drop down option to select:

  • All Community
  • This Category
  • Knowledge Base

  1. What's your favorite new feature that was added to LIVEcommunity with the latest updates?

That's a great question and a few of us on the team wanted to share our thoughts!

On the main page we now have featured posts and trending conversations - @jdelio

I particularly like the brand new icons in the discussions area (PAN approved / Community Expert Verified).  It adds additional authority to a provided solution and provides confidence for readers. - @kiwi

My favorite feature is the new look and feel of the LIVEcommunity itself. I also like how on the main page our community stats are upfront and center. - @jqualls

I like the ability to Subscribe and get email notifications to areas that are important to me. You can subscribe to most locations in LIVEcommunity such as discussions and events! You can even subscribe to a specific post or topic. - @crasmussen

I like the trending conversations which is a new rotating area on the homepage. It’s great to be able to see all the popular conversations happening across the community in real time.  - @agalindo

Have you noticed the new Leaderboards? At a glance you can see the top Solution Authors, Top Contributors and see which members are receiving the most Likes. This is such a great way to engage and connect with experts that are providing great guidance and answers to common questions.   - @jforsythe

If I have a problem and need help from the community, is there a guidline on what information I should include in my post or are there troubleshooting steps I should take prior to ask the community?

This is a great question, and can apply to just about any topic.

When you are posting any question to the community, be sure to include all of the basic information that would help others solve the problem.

I would start with the product, the version being used, what your issue is, is this a new or pre-existing configuration, and if so, has anything changed?

As far as troubleshooting, there are many troubleshooting guides when it comes to our products—it just depends on the product. I would recommend searching for “troubleshooting”+ whatever product you need help with, For example if you needed to troubleshoot GlobalProtect, we have a guide on that here:

While I also know support uses this community sometimes (as they once sent me a link to a post I wroty by myself) there probably are ressources that support uses (troubleshooting guides, informations about current issues and maybe even workarounds), so wouldn't it make sense to share a lot more of these informations here in the community (at least if I am right and they do exist) to reduce support calls one one side and help the customers even faster as they may be able to solve their issues without help from support?

Thanks for the comments, We do want the LIVEcommunity to be the FIRST place that people start looking when they need help or when they have a question.
