How do I run weekly statistics reports on how many questions were posted to the Beta program, how many were answered, and present it to the Product Team?

How can I be alerted to new posts in areas that interest me?

Great question. In order to be notified about a new post in an area that interests you, you have to subscribe to that area.

Here's how to subscribe to a piece of content:

  • Go to the area or item you want to subscribe to. You can subscribe to an area, discussion, blog or article.
  • In the upper right part of the window, there may be a Subscribe button.
Click Subscribe for any updates or comments that are added to this item.

  • If you do not see the subscribe button, you can also subscribe to an area like Blogs, Articles or Discussions by clicking the Options > Subscribe option in the upper right part of the window.

One feature that does not seem to get enough use would happen to be the “Accept as Solution” option.

An Accepted Solution is a way for you to choose the answer that best answers a question that you've posted. When you accept a solution, both the question and the solution get special icons and links that take you directly from the question to the answer.

An Accepted Solutions icon also appears on boards and in search results so you can see which messages have solutions.

You can mark a solution as accepted only for questions that you've posted (you started the thread). LIVEcommunity moderators can also mark one of the replies to a message as an accepted solution.

How do I mark a message as a solution?

  • To mark a message as a solution, click Accept as Solution on the reply.
    jdelio_0-1624546605911.png
  • If you change your mind or if another reply provides an even better answer, you can revoke the first selection and accept the second reply.
  • To revoke an accepted solution, click Options > Unmark as Accepted Solution.
  • You can choose another solution or leave the question unsolved.

Hello team -

What are the various levels of the LIVEcommunity members and contributors? I see designations like L0member and L2networker.

Keep up the great work!

That is a great question! Currently, the LIVEcommunity has seven user levels where community members are able to

move up in rank by performing actions within the community (giving Kudos, posting new discussion threads, providing answers etc.)

And of course, then there is the Cyber Elite level that is awarded to our community member experts!

If I have a problem and need help from the community, is there a guidline on what information I should include in my post or are there troubleshooting steps I should take prior to ask the community?

L7 Applicator

I have some ideas for how to's and configurationadvises. Is this something for this community and if yes, where and how should I submit them?

L7 Applicator

Are there all / a lot of paloalto employees involved in this community (as I saw usernames of some of them when using the @ to mark someone) or do they just get a username here without using / participating in this community?

L7 Applicator

Are there statistics about how the community grew over time since the beginning of live community?

L7 Applicator

Over time palo alto aquired quite a few comoanies and integrated their products into the paloalto ecosystem. Where is the right place to ask questions for all of these products?

L7 Applicator

Even if the community maybe does not contain "highly confidential" data, wouldn't it be good to use 2FA for the log in or let the users choose if they want it or not?

Are there plans for more statistics/gamification? I'd like to see leaderboard per quarter/year/all time and maybe some new ranks 🙂 (prestige mode?)

Hello,

Is there a CyberRange that users can go into and test their skills?

L7 Applicator

When calling support and waiting on someone to pick up the phone, there is alwas the question if you already checked out the live community. While I also know support uses this community sometimes (as they once sent me a link to a post I wroty by myself) there probably are ressources that support uses (troubleshooting guides, informations about current issues and maybe even workarounds), so wouldn't it make sense to share a lot more of these informations here in the community (at least if I am right and they do exist) to reduce support calls one one side and help the customers even faster as they may be able to solve their issues without help from support?

Will ther be some more cortex capture the flag events in the future?
