Security Rule - Application Not Equal to Any - Interpreting BPA Checks - Policies

 

This videos explains the importance of why an App-ID (predefined or custom) is configured on a security policy rule. Learn what happens if it is not configured.

 

When you configure App-ID, the firewall inspects traffic and checks in the correct application traffic is coming through that policy, and then only permits traffic defined by the policy. The Application Not Equal to Any best practice check ensures App-ID is configured for the rule.
