Security Rule - Source/Destination != any/any - Interpreting BPA Checks - Policies

 

In this video, learn about the Source Destination Not Equal to Any and why Policy rules should exactly define the traffic to which the rules apply.

 

For tighter security, it's important to know which two zones are passing traffic through at any time. If zones are not specifically defined and both the Source and Destination zones are left as any/any, it means traffic can go from any Source to any Destination. The Source Destination Not Equal to Any best practice check ensures the Source and Destination zones are configured in each policy rule.
