The Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy at Cuyamaca College in East County San Diego is offering the following class in our eight week Summer Semester 2023 format:

CIS-271-9522: Palo Alto Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) for the Summer Semester 2023 will provide a comprehensive, detailed, and hands on introduction to the industry leading Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) product line. CIS-271-9522 will meet online Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm until 8:00pm beginning Tuesday June 13, 2023 and ending August 3, 2023. The NGFW cloud based capabilities are a critical part of Palo Alto's overall architecture and industry success. PANOS Version 10.1 running on Ubuntu Linux Mint (“bionic”) v19.2 ("Tina") will be used for instruction. Lectures, discussions, and labs will be conducted online using WebEx. Students will have 24/7 online access to the state-of-the-art Cuyamaca NETLAB+ VE environment on campus with real Palo Alto equipment to complete their hands on lab assignments.

Students who successfully complete these classes will be well prepared to take the corresponding Palo Alto professional certification exams. Discount (sometimes free) exam vouchers may be provided through the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy to students in good standing.

For most California residents, the student cost for this full semester 8 week class is less than $180. Online College application and class registration for the Summer Semester 2023 is open now at www.cuyamaca.edu. The application process is online and free, but not instant. Early enrollment is strongly encouraged as classes begin soon.

All Cuyamaca students enjoy a free subscription to Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Development Tools (e.g. Visual Studio). Students also have access to a wide variety of paid software (e .g. Adobe Creative Suite) at heavily discounted prices (e.g. $40 for six months) through the Foundation For California Community Colleges at store.collegebuys.org.

Please email questions or requests for assistance with online enrollment directly (not through this user group) to peter@cuyamaca.cloud for a prompt response.
