Has anyone taken this new exam yet?

PSE-Strata-Pro-24: Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineer Professional - Hardware Firewall

It’s required for partner compliance, but it feels a bit excessive for a pre-sales certification.

Are there any additional training materials available beyond what’s provided in Beacon? The assessment questions are decent but don’t align well with the actual exam content. Additionally, it’s frustrating that you can’t review your results after completing the assessment—it seems counterproductive.

If anyone has any resources or materials they can share, it would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, multiple people on the team have taken the exam and failed. The learning materials are no where near what's needed for the actual exam.

After studying a lot, I found several websites that had sample questions, along with answers and explanations. Since the answers could vary from site to site, I did some research to verify the correct answers. Then, I created a set of study questions with their corresponding answers.
To my surprise, when I went to take the exam, all the questions matched those I had seen online, so I was able to answer very quickly since I knew the answers I had previously verified online.
Finally, my surprise was even greater when I failed the exam. It was as if someone asked me what 2 + 2 is, I answered 4, and then they told me they were wrong.
I think there's some mistake with the exam. It could also be that I misinterpreted some statements since English isn't my native language.
But, again, I think there's something wrong with the exam (or at least with the template I was assigned to take).
Does anyone know if it's possible to retake it without having to pay again?

We are in the exact same position. We have several team members who have taken this and failed. We are also extremely frustrated as the learning materials on the PAN site when you login says expired and then it goes away. It’s like they want you to fail. I’m not sure why this is so complicated on something that’s supposed to be a basic partner exam.

You get one free voucher when you become Cyberforce defender. To do that, you need to finish some courses on Beacon. For details, look here CYBERFORCE - Palo Alto Networks

Alternatively, you can ask for free voucher from your local Palo Alto Networks channel manager, but I don't believe they have any left this late in the fiscal year.

Hi, how are you?

The same thing happened to me. On June 12th, I did my first attempt. I have to say, I thought it was strange that my score was so low. Not that I’m an expert, but I’ve been working with Palo Alto for some time and I know a few things.

I studied a bit more and even bought four of those practice exams with answers and explanations.

Then I went for the second attempt. Guess what? My score almost didn’t change. I was like: Whata**bleep**! 

Many of the questions from the practice exams were on the certification test, and I’m sure I answered them correctly.

Now I’m here, reviewing the practice tests again. Another thing — that PSE Strata course on Beacon/Learn doesn’t have much to do with the certification exam.

Anyway, I’ll study a bit more and try for the third time.
