Spark User Summits are live, virtual events that have been very popular for cybersecurity practitioners. These user summits are held regularly around the globe, bringing together members of the local Fuel User Group community to learn and collaborate on solving critical security issues.

 

The latest Spark User Summit will take place on August 22, 2024, and focused on Identity Management/Zero Trust and Quantum Security

 

Session 1 will cover Identity Management/Zero TrustIdentity is the foundation of a robust cybersecurity strategy and the keystone to your Zero Trust journey. In this session, you will learn about modern attacks that exploit weaknesses in traditional identity paradigms and how the shifting cybersecurity landscape is enabling these attacks. You will learn how Palo Alto Networks addresses these challenges through innovation and strategic partnerships. You will leave the session with an understanding of how Zero Trust principles offer guidance on creating a robust identity deployment.

 

Session 2 will introduce attendees to Quantum Security. Learn what Palo Alto Networks role is within the industry and emerging Quantum Security technologies, as well as PQ VPN solutions that have been made generally available.

As the Senior Product Manager for Identity at Palo Alto Networks, Jerry McLaughlin chart spaths through the changing landscape of the hybrid workplace; ensuring Palo Alto Networks customers can identify and restrict access to applications based on real time data about users, devices, and applications regardless of their physical location. Philip Kwan is a Senior Principal Product Manager specializing in quantum security at Palo Alto Networks, the world’s leading cybersecurity company. From 2013 onwards, he has led multiple innovation teams at Palo Alto Networks in a wide range of technology from network protocols, high availability, Denial of Service prevention, SSL decryption to SD-WAN. With a strong passion for technology and over 30 years of experience in high speed networking and data security, he has held high level roles in both IT security as well as product management with multiple Silicon Valley firms where he was on the forefront of industry shaping technologies — gigabit networking, wireless networks, and next generation data security.
