Migrate Configuration from PA - 200 to PA - 440

L0 Member

I was looking to move all my policies and configuration from our PA 200 and PA 500 firewalls to PA 440s.  The PA 200 and PA 500 software versions would be 8.1.23 and 8.1.24.

What is the easiest way to migrate the configuration to the new firewalls?

I would deploy virtual Palo with version 8.1.x

Import config in.

Upgrade this virtual Palo to version you have in PA-440.

Export config from VM into 440.

How would we download the older virtual PAN OS version 8.1.x?  Is it free to download?

Hello,

It should be on the support portal when you log into your account. The other option could be to upgrade the older devices to the highest possible version then export the configuration and then upload it to the newer models.
