Incorrect Endpoint Type Reporting in Cortex for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Machine

L2 Linker

Hi Team,

The Cortex endpoint type is reporting incorrectly for one of the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS machines. It is a workstation, but it is being reported as a server in Cortex. Is there an option to change this directly in the Cortex console, or is there any other way to correct it?

Hi @RajeshPremSingh, thanks for reaching us using the Live Community.

All the Linux based operating system endpoints are marked as Server in the Endpoint Type field, this can't be changed.

You can use Endpoint Tags to identify Linux endpoints that are used as workstations, and apply policies based on this tag using Endpoint Groups.
