The Cybersecurity Academy program partners with three other 'pillars' across Education Services: Instructor-Led Training, Digital Learning, and Certification. Each team collaborates across all pillars, because we similarly focus on education about #Strata, #Prisma and #Cortex. However, our learner types and their access to material varies.
Cybersecurity Academy focuses its efforts on delivering academic courses to universities, colleges, high schools, and other traditional learning environments. Qualified academic institutions receive free access to curriculum, hands-on labs, faculty training and virtual firewalls. Courses are offered to their students on a quarterly or semester academic calendar. During Covid-19, over 1,200 campuses pivoted to virtual teaching and learning, and have continued to grow exponentially, now across 70+ countries. The Cybersecurity Academy partners with key teams across PANW to develop and help provide: (1) strong sales enablement opportunities through our relationships with public sector organizations globally, and (2) hiring top talent for PANW, its partners and customers, particularly with minority-serving institutions such as HSIs, HBCUs, women's colleges, and other under-represented education organizations.
Recently, the foundational PCCSA certification evolved to include much more innovative expertise, and is now called the PCCET (Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Certification for Entry-level Technician). The Cybersecurity Academy collaborated across our other Education Services pillars to help create the new PCCET certification, 3 of the 4 new digital learning courses, and transformed its own foundational 3-course series to a new 4-course series, including new labs! All of this was done in record time by a lean team that contains decades of commercial, military and academic experience in cybersecurity.
