Expedition PA-820 Device not listed in Model & Migration Question

L1 Bithead

Hi,

I installed the latest version of Expedition on linux 20.04LTS. When trying to import the firewall all other PA and VM models seem to be listed but there is no PA-800 series models listed.  Also can anyone recommend best practices to migrate HA A/P 820's over to HA A/P latest VM series.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thomas

@Thomas_Edwards  You can select PA-500.  For migration from PA-820 to VM-firewall. You can directly export the xml from PA-820 and load it on to vm-firewall, if you run into any issue, please open a TAC case, our TAC engineer will assist you .

Hi Lychiang,

Thank you for your reply, Will select PA-500 and with regards to the XML export and import wouldn’t I need to manually change the interface details etc prior to import. When we do the migration I will log a ticket with TAC if we encounter any issues thanks.

Kind Regards,

The interface name all starts with ethernet1/1 , so you should be able to load the config on the vm-firewall.
