Version 3.1.2, I do not see the option to select Aggregate Group. Is there an initial step I am missing? Thanks in advance.
hello Jaseng,
Go to Network-->Interfaces
Click on an interface.
Select Aggregate ethernet under the "type" drop down
You should then see the "Aggregate Group" drop down under the "Assign Interface to" field.
thank you,
Stephen
Link aggregation is only supported on the PA-4000 series. It looks like you are on a PA-500.
Mike
Mike - That is it. I just looked at the 3.1 Admin Guide and I couldn't find where it states this is a PA-4000 series only feature. Would my only option be to not create link agg and just group ports into a unique zone?
Thanks,
JASON
Jason
Grouping ports is not the same as using agg interface. When using agg interface, you have link redundancy. if one the links fails, the traffic is sent over the other one. All the links in the add bundle are up, all the links are utilized to send the traffic. You cannot accomplish this by grouping interfaces.
JP
It is captured in the release notes for 3.1
Shall I assume then, by your comment, that aggregate interfaces are not supported on the 2050 model also?
Correct. Aggregate interfaces are only supported on PA-4000 and PA-5000 series firewalls.
