Can I count the number of An-virus signature in my PAN device?

Not applicable

Hello, Guys.

Thanks ahead first.

Out customer want to know how many anti-virus signatures are enabled in their PAN Device. I've heard that there's no CLI command or information about this. Before I give my answer to the customer, I want to double-check this.

And normally how do you react in this kind of situation? What's the best answer for the customer?

' I'm afraid that we don't have any method to count anti-virus signature, you have to trust us.'... I don't like this kind of reply..

Cheers

Firewall maintains latest 1M , sorted by signature creation date .

These are the most relevant signatures.

You can always check :https://threatvault.paloaltonetworks.com/ for the coverage info.

HTH,

Ameya

Thanks Ameya,

At the threat vault page, I can only see 50 signatures per page, which means I need to click 'next' button 20000 times to count all signatures. :smileycry:

It's pitty that I can't check how much the PA can support AV signature.

Well, I don't know if this helps, but you can  select Type =Virus and search by ID .

You can see/count Threat IDs from 2000001 through  2999999.
