Control OWA

L3 Networker

Hi

I want to stop our users from accessing company email from their home (non company supplied) PCs using OWA. I still want to allow access to our email systems through webmail/https

Can this be achieved by app filters (MAPI, Active sync) OR do I need to adopt a more granular policy via data filtering and look to block OWA via specific HTTP get requests?

Thanks

Rod

There is an application rpc-over-http. Outlook Anywhere is just a new name for RPC over HTTP. Should be different from application outlook-web.

OWA = webmail, or do you have another web front end ? Or do you mean direct access from Outlook to Exchange (over vpn) ?

I don't really understand what you're asking.

Sorry - I meant outlook anywhere and not OWA. I want to stop users who try to configure Outlook on home PCs to connect to our exchange servers using Outlook anywhere. I want to control access to our email servers through OWA only.

Thanks
