Don't see HA1 and HA2 ports

L2 Linker

I am following this article "How to Configure High Availability on PAN-OS" to configure HA on our new PA-850. I don't see HA1 and HA2 ports. Or where I can configure HA interface?

@boblin,

These won't be listed under the network interfaces tab. Go into the device tab under the high-availability to configure these interfaces.

hi @boblin

all firewalls have the option of setting dataplane interfaces to HA mode, you can click the interface name and then select the HA type from the dropdown

you can then select those interfaces from the Device > High Availability > Ha communication menu

some devices have built-in HA1 and/or HA2 ports (and even Aux-1, Aux-2 and HSCI ports), which will show up in the High Availability configuration, but not in the Network (dataplane) interfaces as they can't be used to pass regular traffic
