Global protect on MAC, with proxy settings

L3 Networker

In our company, we do not allow split tunneling and access to Internet(while on VPN) happens via only proxy. We are using on-demand mode.

Once MAC users connect to GP,proxy settings apply. Only browser which works in this setup is Mozilla Firefox.

Is there a fix for this. ? Has any one run into this issue.

This setup worked fine when we were on Cisco and Juniper world.

1) Split tunnel is not an option.

2) PBF is not an option as I have to burn up an interface at every gateway to send traffic to the proxy.

Have you tried using a pac file, we use similar fot ipad but works in a different way. You could test your lan for a dns resolve and if ok, send via proxy.

Sorry for late replies.

Issue is Proxy settings dont get copied over to GP Virtual interface.

According to our SE and TAC this feature will be supported in GP 5.1. Hopefully this will work.

Hi SuryaR,

do you know if there is a designated release date for GP 5.1?

This feature would have a big impact on my daily productivity.

Best regards

Ben

As per our SE it should be sometime early next year. This may be delayed too.

Good luck ..!!!

Thanks for your reply. I eagerly await that.
