HA in AWS deployment error message

L0 Member

Greetings,

I am deploying a pair of VM Series Palo Alto's in AWS.  Pretty much have a handle on the set up for HA.  In AWS eth0 is the management interface and is provided by DHCP.  After setting up for HA and committing the config I get the following error:

  • High-availability ha1 can't be configured with port 'management' and have an IPv4 peer-ip without setting up a real IPv4 address for the 'management' port(Module: ha_agent)
  • Commit failed

I do not know how to set up a "real" IP for the management interface.  Any ideas?

Regards,

Gregman

You can check you real mgmt interface ip (not sure if it even exists with AWS deployment) using the following commands;

> show interface management

> show interface all

Best to check AWS HA deployment guide;
