HIPPA \ Health Data Patterens

Has anyone written regex data patterens for HIPPA Data for Palo?  Is Palo plannig HIPPA Patterens?

Can you expand on what you actually mean by HIPPA data? You can create custom data patterns but you would need to be able to hit on something. So for example if you have a particular file format that everything is stored in or if you have a way on your documents to actually trigger on them. 

Generally sharing data patterns wouldn't do much good across organizations as they are much akin to DoS or Zone Protection profiles, they really are specific to the organization that made them and the weights and alert limits would vary based on size and workflow of the organization. 

@BPry , @Jim.Fallon , wouldn't it be nice to have a REGEX repository filled with data pattern strings written for Palo Alto?  I'm in the same boat where for PAN-OS 9.0, predefined patterns are mentioned to respond to HIPPA but there are none listed.  Financial and PII are mostly covered but nothing health related.  I need patterns for Medical forms and codes. 

 

If we have to write them (ahead of PAN-OS 9.1 DLP subscription use), where can we share them?
