How to block transferring particular file extensions in Google Talk,.?

Hi All,.

Is it possible to block transferring files with particular file extensions ( eg,..pdf,dwg,dll) through Google Talk? I tried to do this but not succeeded. But in the file blocking profile the application "gtalk-file-trasfer" is there.

When i am transferring the file through Google talk, in the traffic monitor it's showing the app as google-talk-base.And also it's not showing the files transferred even i have used the file blocking profile with "alert all" action in the policy without blocking anything.

Same thing is happening with gmail too,..Please help to fix this issue.

If possible please share the configuration steps for the same.

Hi Jagan,

     Do you have SSL decryption enabled on the outbound traffic?  Most (all?) of google's services are SSL encrypted by default these days, so doing a forward proxy is required to dig into the data stream.
