We have recently deployed Minemeld with the intent of using it to supply External Dynamic Lists across a wide estate of firewalls we manage for our customers, but as of PanOS 8.0 it seems a cert profile is required for EDLs, which means that every two years we'll need to update the stored certificates on each and every managed PA firewall (which in turn means maintains a list of those firewalls that require said updates).
Is there any way around this? Given we're using a public certificate it seems unnecessary. But OCSP seems to be for revokation only, so short of using Panorama I'm not sure how to best deal with it.
