NetConnect on Linux under Wine

Not applicable

Has anyone managed to get NetConnect to run under wine on linux?

I Use Firefox 9 for Windows under Wine, and managed to do an offline Java install  by downloading from here:  http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

I authenticate in the portal.  The NetConnect client seem to be starting, the correct msi and exe files are apparently downloading, then error:

Netconnect client complains:  "NetConnect installer service is not running. Please...."

After a while (1 min) the client ask med to restart the Installer Service, and I'm back to the portal login page.

Appreciate any input on this.  Thx

Hi Aseem,

Unfortunately I haven't had much experience with trying to get this to work with wine. From a support prospective there isn't going to be much info or documentation for this either.

However, I do know that wine has an extensive knowledge base and forum that may be able to lead you in the right direction or help out.

Sorry I couldn't find anything on our side.

Thanks,

Jason
