Number of user-ip-mappings supported and user-id agentless buffer question

L1 Bithead

Hello sirs,

I have the question about User-id feature for 2 topic as below.

1. Number of user ip mappings supported

As picture below I see difference number of user ip mappings supported between Mgmt plane and Data plane.

I have the following questions:

  • Why both plane[Mgmt Plane, Data Plane] have the difference number of user ip mappings supported?
  • What is the user ip mappings on each plane[Mgmt Plane, Data Plane] use for?

2. User-id agentless buffer

If I configure the user-id agentless on Palo Alto Networks firewall for monitor security event log on 6 AD servers.

I have the following questions:

  • How Palo Alto Networks's mechanism use for send the command to query security event log on each AD server [Sequential or Parallelly]?
  • How many buffer size on Mgmt Plane allocated for receive security event log from all AD server? Can show me in graph or table?

Best Regards,
