PA-500 WAN connect directly to ISP

L1 Bithead

Hello,

We are using an PA-500. We would like to connect the WAN port directly to our ISP.

Normally the ISP requires a Cisco router with the following requirements.

Connectivity requirements:

Ethernet / IEEE 802.3-2005

WAN side 1000Base-T full duplex

100mbit througput

PPoE/PPP

RFC 2516 PPPoE

RFC 1661 PPP

RFC 1332 PPP Internet Protocol Control Protocol ( Bloque of 8 ip adresses)

·         Compatible with Cisco implementation of IPCP netmask request

Possibility to shape upstream traffic

Authenication support

RFC 1334 PPP PAP Authenication

Ip subnet-zero support

Security

Anti-Spoofing Internet

Is it possible to connect directly to the PA500 without putting a Cisco ASA inbetween?

Regards,

Wilco van der Galiën
