Password Profile

L2 Linker

Hi Experts

We need to setup a password profile with the no expiry condition for the service accounts which has read only privileges. Version is 8.1

1. If we set the Required Password Change Period (days) to 0 days, does it mean it's expired (with 0 days left) or is it never expire ?

 2. And, if we didn't set the password profile to any account what is the default account timers ?

Please assist.

with zero days it is never expired.

If password profile is set to none then it is never expire as default timer is 0 days never expire.

Unless you modify those settings depending on your need.

Hi,

You can set the timer for passwords for administrator accounts under password profiles.

Password Profile specifies password-aging values that override the global password-aging values. Configure Password Profiles at Device > Password Profiles.

By default password aging is not enabled.

Best Regards,

Suresh
