Policy Configuration hostname

i want to configure security policy based and want to allow access only by end user hostname...can we do that?

Hi @Swetang 

 

I believe there is no direct way to do this. Anyhow if you have a global protect license you configure internal gateway and configure hip based policies where you can use hostname , serial number , os type etc as parameters.

What about DAG??is it possible..i am not having GP license.

I dont think so you can use DAG for this requirement ,

If your clients are registered in DNS, you could use FQDN objects for this.

But why not using userbased firewallpolicies? This way no matter where a user is logged in, the correct policy is applied.
