Regarding License activation

L2 Linker

We already have n number of Palo Alto firewalls and those are licensed.

recently we purchased two new firewalls.

Just wanted to activate license for those two new firewalls remotely.

Registered these devices under Palo Alto support portal and activated license.

License expiration date matches with our existing firewalls expiration date( in another few months going to expire)

Since these two are new firewalls expiration date should be long and needs to be different.

May I know why license expiration date is exactly matching ?

Hi @perumalj ,

Normally the expiry dates are determined by the device ship dates on the order.

Even if they may go into use at a much later time as per the license agreement.

I recommend creating an admin case with support so they can review the license information for you.

Kind regards,

-Kiwi.

They updated me like there may be common license for our account and it could be the reason why it shows like that.

Do you have any comments on it ?
