SCM Compatibility

L3 Networker

Hello Everyone!

I am looking for insight on the possibility of bringing PA-220s and PA-220Rs into SCM Pro for visibility and configuration.

My research has led to conflicting results:

Can anyone confirm if the PA-200 series can be onboarded into SCM? If so, is this only for visibility and not for configuration?

Thanks,

Hi @nohash4u ,

The Advanced Routing Engine (ARE) requirement only applies to firewalls that actually support ARE. SCM enforces this on those platforms because config pushes will fail if the device’s routing stack mode doesn’t match the tenant.

For models like the PA-220, which don’t support ARE at all, the requirement doesn’t apply. I confirm that you can onboard the PA-220 into SCM and will have full visibility, config, and policy management.
