I was wondering if anybody has found a way of delivering security sensitive reports and alerts in a secure manner? We typically use email, but of course email is not secure and it wouldn't be the best if a report (like the botnet report) would fall into the wrong hands. Does anybody know of a way of encrypting these emails? We require them to be delivered to recipients both inside the organization and to ourselves (a trusted 3rd party).
I was thinking another possible way of handling this situation would be similar to bank communications... deliver an email saying that there is a report or alert to view and then have the recipient log into a secure site to view the communication. I'm not sure if that's a viable alternative or not.
