URL Filtering category “command-and-control” missing

L4 Transporter

Hello

I'd like to prepare for new category “command-and-control” I have two  firewalls one with BrightCloud and one with PA url filtering database. Both with 7.1.11 PANOS and latest url filtering database but when I try to change default action for this new category I see:

Do I missed something? What's wrong with my configuration could be?

Slawek

Hi @_slv_,

I'm not sure if BrightCloud even has a 'command-and-control' category ... I know PAN-DB has it.

That said, new URL categories are added with new content packages.

Make sure you have the latest content version or you might not have all the available categories.

As you can read from the comment in this article you'll need to get the latest content package to see the new categories that come with it :

Hello

It's my fault - I don't have PA url database ... so I don't have 'command-and-control' category.

I went through the same ordeal trying to locate.  I'm usning Britecloud DB.

Seems Palo should clarify in their notificartions that it does not currently apply to Britecloud URL filtering.   (hint hint)

🙂

@lancelspencer2014,  I will make sure that we put a note on the new Command and Control announcement and articles we have noting that it is not applicable for Brightcloud.

Thanks for the suggestion.
