User-ID Agent

L1 Bithead

Dear Team,

Appreciate your support and advice if Windows Server 2022 is officially supported, for running the User-ID agent yet?

As the below article didn't mention the Windows Server 2022.

https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/compatibility-matrix/user-id-agent/where-can-i-install-the-user-id...

https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/compatibility-matrix/user-id-agent/which-servers-can-the-user-id-a...

As the User-ID Agent version "10.1.0-21" does not map users on windows server 2022.

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,
Ahmed Sadek

Is Windows Server 2022 still not supported?

@Tobi,

Correct. Once it's officially supported the compatibility matrix will be updated to indicate it as such. You can bring it up with your SE if you want to force some internal pressure on this compatibility being added. That's all tracked internally so PAN knows what their customers want them to prioritize.

Is Server 2022 supported yet? It's been out a while now and usually Palo are on the ball.

Hi @DudleyCollege ,

It is not as per the compatibility matrix: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/compatibility-matrix/user-id-agent/where-can-i-install-the-user-id...

That being said, there is a feature request for it.

Please reach out to your local SE and have him add your vote to the request (User-ID Agent support for Windows Server 2022  : FRID #20618).

Kind regards,

-Kiwi.
