Hello @bnaveen01

could you please refer to this KB: How to Retrieve the Palo Alto Networks Firewall Configuration in Maintenance Mode? What error are you getting?

Kind Regards

HI,
As i have tried the below option to retrieve log files:
Server: <Ip address or Host Name>(Tried with local pc IP address and device name)
Path: //xxx.xxxx.xxx.xxx/scan
User: administrator(Local device user name)
Password: <Password>(Local device administrator password)

getting error:
“log file copy failed with ret -3” and “log file copy failed with ret -1.”

Hello @bnaveen01

thank you for reply.

- For server I would recommend to use IP address instead of host name to prevent connection issue by Firewall not being able to resolve DNS name of your machine.

- The path you used does not look right to me. Could you either use just a single forward slash "/"? Using / should place the file into root folder of your SCP server. I would avoid using double forward slash "//" to define path.

- The username and password should be credentials configured in your SCP server for authentication, not your PC credentials. Could you confirm what OS and SCP server software are you running?

Kind Regards

Pavel
