Network Sign-in icon disappears - Endpoint needs to be restarted

Hi,

 

After a User switches User / signs out the Network Sign-in icon tends to disappear leaving just 3 icons at the Windows log in and subsequent staff are unable to connect before login. (restarting the endpoint is the only way to get the icon back) This is causing multiple calls to the Helpdesk. Is there a way (or best practice) to prevent the icon from disappearing when the endpoint is logged out / goes into standby?
