Strange Gateway change issue on network with Prisma Access GP Client

L1 Bithead

Having some strange behavior with GP client 6.3.3-711 that runs within the prisma access product. When user is on network, or in office, gp changes gateways at times and changes the timezone of the client computer. The client doesn't have issues off network like at coffee shop or home. Not sure what's going on. I am not using any internal host detection, but seems strange it would happen on network.

Hi @S.Williams091162 ,

I'm thinking this can be related to an automatic timezone setting in your OS.

Both Windows and Mac have a feature called "Set time zone automatically".  If GP switches to a gateway in a different region your OS sees the new IP, thinks you’ve traveled, and helpfully updates your system clock to match the gateway's location.

On MacOS this setting is under System Settings > General > Date & Time > Set time and date automatically.

In Windows this setting is under Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Set time zone automatically.

Hope this helps,
