Unable to connect VPN

L0 Member

Hi ,

I am using GP 6.2.8-183 and use radius server to get authentication. However, I signout from the GP and when i tried to connect VPN , it prompts invalid user name or password. It was working before i signedout from the existing VPN connection. Same was noticed a new user created last Friday. It there a way that that can be resolved?

Hi @Prasannag ,

When GlobalProtect shows “invalid username or password” immediately after signing out, the first place to check is the System Logs, since that’s where all GlobalProtect + RADIUS authentication activity is recorded.

While viewing the system logs, attempt a sign-in and you should see the relevant logs populate. If you have a bunch of logs and cant pinpoint it, you can filter on ( subtype eq globalprotect ) and ( eventid contains auth ).

The logs will show whether the fw is passing auth to your radius server profile or show what the radius response is. After checking system logs, Id connect with the Radius admin and see if they can validate the status of your account.
